🌿 About NOTON by Raquel

Hi, I’m Raquel — the hands and heart behind NOTON by Raquel.
I founded this brand in 2010, when I began selling handmade bags and jewelry through an international online shop. Every item was — and still is — created by me: from the very first sketch to the final stitch.

 

Why “NOTON”?

The name comes from a Portuguese expression — “no tom certo”, meaning “just right” or “in perfect harmony.” After experimenting with the words, I created NOTON: a name that reads the same forwards and backwards, representing balance, intention, and timeless beauty.

 

100% handmade — by me

Every piece you find here is made entirely by my hands. I work mainly with:
– Cotton, wool, and recycled fabrics (especially denim from past garments)
– Using traditional techniques like knitting, crochet, and sewing
My creative process is slow and personal. Each product is crafted with attention and soul — a quiet resistance to fast fashion.

 

Collections that reflect change

NOTON by Raquel has evolved over the years, just as I have. My current collections reflect what the brand has become: thoughtful, sustainable, and grounded in simplicity and care.
New pieces are released throughout the year, aligned with the seasons (Northern Hemisphere). All production is limited — but if a collection resonates with people, it may return the following season with subtle changes, such as new colors.

She values what’s real. She has her own sense of style — effortless, mindful, and a little poetic. She’s not after trends, but after meaning.
She loves pieces that are made with intention, that tell a story, that feel like home.
