Today I come to tell you about Portugal, the country where I am from, and obviously, where all the items made by me go to all the fantastic people who buy them, all over the world.
Portugal is an European country, which is part of the Iberian Peninsula in conjunction with Spain, and which is the paradisiacal destination of many tourists.
Last Friday, May 12th, Portugal welcomed his Holiness, Pope Francis, and yesterday He proclaimed the canonization of two of the Three Little Shepherds, Jacinta and Francisco, of Our Lady of Fatima. This Pope has already left us with several very wise messages, among them I highlight one: “It is better to be an atheist than a hypocrite Catholic.“.
Another event this weekend was the fact that Portugal won the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the first time that it happened, perhaps because this time it was the only song that stood out for its uniqueness and for being the opposite of what is called the “Eurovision style”. The song is called “Amar pelos dois” (“Love for both”), it was sung by Salvador Sobral, and written by his sister Luísa Sobral. Just as he stated, music is about feeling, and not about fireworks.
